Why Lumen?
Our name Lumen comes from a drive to shine a light on the uncertainty that change creates, illuminating the path to success.
It also pays homage to our origins in the North-East of England, home of inventors and industry for generations. Whilst we now operate from London, we remain proud of our North-East roots and our history.
The pioneers who came before us now light the way, including Joseph Swan, who invented the light bulb, and local monk and explorer Benedict Biscop, who oversaw the first recorded use of stained glass in 675AD.
Lumen’s Founder: Nicola
Our founder, Nicola Andrews, is a comms specialist with decades of experience working with market leaders in the energy and finance sectors.
Nicola has gained significant experience from a host of organisational situations, from mergers and acquisitions to regulatory change, business growth, restructures, customer migrations and service transfers. She combines this with a broad range of qualifications in computing, Human Resources and change management, including as a member of the CIPD.
